Breathing for the First Time
Lik-Wid
Features a fast and furious new version of "Nothing Will Change" and the unforgettable ballad "My Memory".
Lik-Wid is a hard rock band from Dubbo, Australia, known for their powerful sound that balances intensity with melody. The band gained early momentum with "The Last Time," a pre-production demo that earned radio success and secured them as finalists in the 2004 National Songwriting competition - SOYA (Noise).
In 2005, the band embarked on their most ambitious project: "Breathing For The First Time," their debut official release. Recorded with producer Stuart Stuart (The Veronicas, Small Mercies) at Chart Song Productions in Brisbane, the album was mixed by 2005 ARIA Award-winning Engineer of the Year Matt Lovell (Silverchair, INXS, Sarah McLeod) and mastered by Steve Smart at 301 Studios Sydney.
The band's sound evolved significantly in 2004 with the addition of Ryan Mackintosh on turntables and sampling, and Lachlan Naef on bass, bringing a fresh dynamic to their hard rock foundation.
"I believe these guys are onto something fresh and different here, killer hooks, a big fat professional sound and plenty of attitude..."
